Do you know how to create Proxy APOs?
A new class of hardware-offloaded devices was introduced as part of the Windows† 8 roll-out. Windows 8.1 added the capability to query and set the offloaded DSP processing in much the same way as an APO. These capabilities are provided by a ProxyAPO.
To the rest of the system, this appears to be a standard APO, but it also has the capability to query and control the hardware-offloaded devices. A proxy APO also has the capability to provide host-based processing whenever all of the hardware DSP resources are in use.
